Unconscious Bias - Throughout the course of the workshop, we will help you recognize and manage bias within yourself and others. This workshop will help you: Deepen your understanding of conscious and unconscious bias. Develop tools to identify where and how bias may be impacting your behavior and your leadership capability.

Culturally Relevant Teaching of Mathematics - Examines historical, sociocultural, economic, and political perspectives on the mathematical experience of underserved populations. Includes consideration of ability, language, race/ethnicity, immigration, and power dynamics. Explores creation of socially just educational environments that address issues of equity and draw upon the resources, opportunities, and challenges in urban contexts.

Facilitating Online Learning Communities - Defines facilitation and facilitator roles within the online classroom, provides step-by-step guidelines for course facilitators (including methods and techniques for optimal communication within online learning communities), and outlines best practices for facilitating online course communication areas (i.e. discussion forums, synchronous chat spaces, etc.).
